What is Tea?

Tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world. All teas (black, green, oolong, white and powder) come from the same plant. The scientific name of this plant is Camellia sinensis. Camellia sinensis is a subtropical, evergreen plant native to Asia, but is now cultivated worldwide. Tea plant grows best in loose, deep soils, high altitudes and subtropical climates.
